Our Solutions

Helping Programs Grow

The Coalition occasionally provides financial support to community and faith-based programs that foster innovation, effectiveness, and responsibility. When funding is available, small capacity grants have been made to community programs to a support the efforts of hard-working people.

If funding becomes available, an announcement will be made through our monthly e-newsletter with application details.

Purpose

The Coalition encourages ongoing literacy projects and the creation of new initiatives. Financial support reflects the Coalition's commitment to its mission, which is to "improve the quality and increase the quantity" of literacy programs.

Eligibility

When grants are made, they are open to both community and faith-based organizations in the Tarrant County area. Applicants must submit a provider directory application and be approved by the Board of Directors. Further eligibility requirements will be included in specific Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or other application materials.

Process

The Coalition distributes announcements of funding opportunities through e-mail updates and on our website as funds are available. Successful applications are consistent with our mission and can communicate specific measures of student success and financial responsibility. All proposals are reviewed by the Coalition staff and funds are approved by the Board of Directors.
